Need to relax? Join us March 17-19 for painting and craft classes with Thora Trumbo. Here are some of the projects you can choose from:
Relax and Paint. Sip cider and de-stress in a fun way during a simple paint project. All participants will find great satisfaction in this take-home wall hanging. The instructor will walk you through a few simple steps for the painting. After drying, select some interesting completion choices. No prior painting experience needed.
Can’t we all use a few more? Come design your own!
Decorated stationary is expensive so why not design your own in just a few minutes. Come and learn how a few simple brush strokes, sponge dabs and a few stickers can produce lovely gift cards. Its cheap and takes only minutes of personal time…’cuz sometimes minutes are all we’ve got!
Come decorate a journal and book marker to take home this weekend. Dig to your heart’s content into our superb collection of scrapbook paper and decor. Choose a ribbon and sew on a gorgeous button to produce a nice book marker.
Who is Thora?
Thora attended California State University in Chico, earning dual purpose teaching credentials in the graduate school program. She and her husband adopted daughters, first a baby, then a five year-old with multiple disabilities. She left public school teaching and taught their girls at home between many surgeries, recoveries and the necessary but demanding weekly therapy. Now, their oldest adopted child is 19 and in college. Their youngest at 18, reads and writes as a kindergartner, happily doing her best. The girls names are Grace and Joy. Truly God loves beyond measure! It is with great delight Thora shares her passion mentoring other adoptive and foster mothers with art and craft relaxation. See you soon at our upcoming retreat!
